The sandwiches...

The sandwiches were the best around... unforunately I don't have any pictures of them to show you, since I always figured these sandwiches would be in my life forever. This is the closest picture I could find to one of the sandwiches:



The big difference was the lettuce on the sandwiches was usually not as pretty, but I bet a lot more tasty... also those tomatoes are too thick... and the meat never really stuck out like that... well you know what? Fuck it, I love sandwiches and words NOR pictures could do justice to this place's sandwiches!

Sandwich maker, or is it the place that matters

This bodega answered the long wondered question: Is it the Sandwich maker or the establishment that matters in terms of the final product. This bodega answered that question for me... it is the sandwich shop.

The best sandwich maker in Bedstuy as far as I'm concerned once worked in Mini Market Deli... the sandwiches melted in your mouth and were full of meat. To the brim. One day he left, and he went to the rival store across the street... the Deli Plus. As sad as I was I was okay that he was still around... but soon the quality of the sandwiches started decreasing. I went back to the Mini Market, just to check how the sandwiches were without this guru... and lo and behold it was DELICIOUS!

Mini Market, you not only sold me cereal at a cheap price, you taught me that it takes more than a good man to make a sandwich... it takes an ESTABLISHMENT of EXCELLENCE!

How I'll always remember you. There have been times that weird people have been hanging outside the store and I've gone to different bodegas, but you were always my favorite, and I will always remember you.
